A ranking of every single thing, ever
This page is a public service. Over the years, I have observed the popularity of tier-making software and lists of what things are better or worse than other things. As you can imagine, many of them overlap and even disagree! The goal of Everything, Ranked is to create one single, objective list of everything and rank it, removing all ambiguity and pre-empting all arguments with indisputable fact.
There are a lot of things out there, so it may take a while.
The current status of the list is that it is 10 entries long. This is Version 0.5, and my intent is to move it up an order of magnitude each time. Yes, that's going to create a lot of work, but I will ask your help in submitting items that should be ranked.

Whenever I think of a Thing, I add it to the overall list of things to be ranked.
Then, one by one, I think really, really hard about where it belongs.
At that point, I assign it a ranking.

Because the list status is currently Not Yet Complete, I will be approaching this in iterations. It also takes some time to actually consider where things belong on the list--more and more, I expect, the longer the list becomes. So, I will do my best to track movement up and down. See the Data Tab for more details.
So expect things to move. However, once they are placed, consider that the most accurate placement based on my rigorously scientific decision-making. It can be considered temporarily permanently correct based on the available information, until it is changed.
